Singapore 1st Formula 1 Grand Prix

It had been an exciting week for most Singaporean last weekend, as Singapore is holding hers 1st F1 Grand Prix and also the World's 1st F1 night race. The race took place at the central business district at Downtown Marina.

Weeks before the race, roads for the circuits were closed to prepare for the event. This caused some inconvenience to the people working around the circuit, as they need to make some changes to the way they normally travel to work. But I think, most of them were happy for the Nation for such a great event and they don't mind the inconvenience.

The most important item for the success of the night race was the lighting. The circuits are to be lighted near to day lights. Lots of high power lightings were fixed on the temporary metal supports around the circuits.

The circuits for the Singapore Grand Prix pass through some historic and modern landmark of Singapore. They include the City Hall, The Padang, Anderson Bridge, Esplanade Theatres On the Bay and the newly completed Singapore Flyer.
